Beverly Hills - World Premiere
August 2012 at Laemmle Music Hall 3

We received a Wow! and an expanded review by Steven Stanley, StageSceneLA:  http://www.stagescenela.com/2012/08/tick-tock-boom-clap/
"Melissa Fahn lights up the big screen in a beautifully nuanced, utterly engaging star performance as Sara (coincidentally or not so coincidentally the same name as the filmmaker's) and she couldn't have found a better leading man than Sam Zeller, Captain Hook to her Peter Pan in this backstage romantic comedy with heart. The film has a professional look that belies what was surely a shoestring budget. Supporting cast performances are uniformly fine, and I loved the original song score by Joel Alpers. Kudos to writer Sara Pedri and co-directors Sara and Jason Pedri. Musical theater lovers will get a special kick out of Tick Tick Boom Clap, but you don't have to be a show queen to fall under its spell."

Michael Milligan:
"Saw the premiere last night and was amazed at the power it had over me. It's such a terrific movie. Tons of heart. Bravo!!"

Northern CA Premiere
August 2012 at Downtown Theatre

Tony Wade, Daily Republic:
"It deftly balanced hilarity and poignancy and made me belly laugh as well as reflect on my own status as an "orphan" now that my parents are both gone. And yes, I went from the Raider game to shedding tears at the Downtown Theatre.  It was just a delightful film that has "labor of love" written all over it.

Soul-affirming humor was ever-present and love--whether it be familial, the rich warm love between good friends or the exciting, frightening delight of new romantic love-- permeated each frame.  I hadn't read up on the protocol of giving a film a standing ovation as it seems kind of awkward standing and clapping while reading credits as opposed to having live people bow in appreciation after a bravura performance. Still, "Tick Tock Boom Clap" definitely deserved one."

<------ Going for a ride in Georgia with Alan G.

Just amazed by the writing, the layers.  You touched on some tough topics that are relevant to me and my friends right now, because we have parents who are aging and passing away.  But it was funny, too.  I was laughing and following along, and then "wham".  That moment in the middle, where the Lost Boy is crying.  It all came together, and I saw and felt what the movie was all about. ~ Reg S.

It is such a lovely story! Well written, well acted, and well paced! I heard your voice through the movie, and felt the urge to dance along with your choreography! ~ Susan B.

When you make art, support is due you.    We are improved by your work on this last day of 2012. ~ Ted B.

BRAVA!!!! Rachel and I JUST finished it on the drive taking her back to college.  I was BLOWN AWAY by the production quality, the storyline, and the artistic fabric throughout.  Rachel and I give it a 4-Thumbs-Up. And I believe in fairies all over again. ~ Dave L.

Congratulations from the bottom of my heart and soul!!!  ! know it was quite a feat of magic and I know the work never stops in getting it out there. Thanks so much for sending the copy to me and know I have nothing but the highest praise and kudos for such a brave work of art. ~ Beth G.

Of course, I watched your movie right away, which is why I wanted your number, so I could give you my immediate reaction. I sorta can't wait though, and want to tell you what an amazing movie you made.  I loved it.  Can't stop thinking about it. ~ Craig K.

I felt so many emotions as I watched and reflected on many of my own life experiences. It was fantastic! Thank you so much for creating such a terrific depiction of real life with so many nuances that made me laugh and cry! You all are amazing! Everyone was so fantastic and George Maguire... I don't even know what to say! ~ Stacey B.

Finally got around to watching it after the hectic Christmas hustle and bustle and I've got to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I generally don't watch these kinds of movies, but I found myself laughing and enjoying myself with the rest of the cast.  I came for the Fahn and stayed for the fun! ~  Mark S.

I truly enjoyed the film, particularly the backstage shots of the dancing and rehearsing of the Indians and the pirates, and the scenes of Peter asking the audience to clap if they believe in fairies brought tears to my eyes, as it always does. I liked that the story was more character driven than is typical of American films, more like one of the small European gems I have seen in the past. Now I have to decide who among my friends is worthy of receiving the extra copy I have! ~ David T.
